                   IELTS Writing Task 1 Letter # 8


You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.

You have just read an article in a national newspaper which claims that the town centres in your country all look very similar to each other. you don't agree fully with this opinion.

Write a letter to the editor of the newspaper. In your letter:

* say which point of the article you agree with

* explain ways in which your town center is different from most other

* offer to give a guided tour of your town to the writer of this article

Begin as: Dear Sir or Madam,

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to you in regard to an article town centres that was published in your newspaper, which in my opinion is not quite accurate.

To embark on, the article mentions that all of the architecture across the country has the same style.  Although this may be true for some of the buildings, it is not true for all.  Further, it was mentioned that each of the centres was located next to a church, which too is not a general norm.

I would like to point out some of the attributes that my town centre consists of that are not common to other ,locations. Firstly, the buildings consists of two floors and with wooden floors . This can be seen only in this township. Additionally, the windows are made of stained glasses which is also a unique feature. Furthermore, the size of the structure is also significantly larger than the rest, as the population here is significantly larger compared to other places. 

Moreover, if you would like to know more about this location specifically, I would be happy to provide you with a good guided tour of the whole area and be of help to provide better insights.
