The charts below show the proportions of British students at one university in England who were able to speak other languages in addition to English, in 2000 and 2010.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The given pie charts compare the percentage of British learners who have the ability to speak foreign languages in one university in England in 2000 and 2010.

Overview, Spanish was the popular tongue over periods and followed another language, while the rests of the accents had a close ratio over the years.

To begin with, it is evident that Spanish recorded the biggest in 2000 and 2010 approximately 30 and 35 % respectively. In addition, a clear trend can be observed that in 2010, a fifth of other languages were the second most famous , by contrast, no other  language  had the same proportion in 2000.

Further, analysing the data, one striking observation is that there was little to no fluctuation in several tongues over a time frame which remarked only one-in-ten in Germany and two other languages. What is more, no other language increased double in 2000by around 20%. Compared to Spanish, the rest of the languages were the lowest popular over the two periods .
