OET: How to do Reading Part A

                            How to do Part A

Method:

Preparation: 2 minutes (30 seconds for each text)

* Quickly identify the Title.
* Section Heading
* Sub-heading of each text - A,B,C& D.


* Look for the sign post keywords or phrases, which include:

1. Topic sentence of each text
2. Abbreviations
3. Names 
4. Contrary conjunctions  
5. Modal verbs
6. Negatives
7. Cause-effect
8. Percent- percentage
9. Scale
10. Sequential expressions
11. Time Expressions
12. Adjective.

Then start answering questions 1 to 6,
7 to 14 and 15 to 20

Time take 13 minutes.

In the beginning, you might take more time, However, slowly you will be able to answer all the 20 questions before 13 minutes.
