Part 1

Part 2 Cue Card

Talk about a piece of clothing that you like. You should say:

* and explain why you like this piece of clothing


Part 3 Discussion

2. When do people wear formal clothes in your country?

3. Why don't some people wear formal clothes?

4. What is your opinion of wearing designer clothes?

5. Do the prices of designer clothes seem justified to you?

Part 3 Discussion - Sample Answers


1. How is clothing different for young and old people in your country?

Ans: Well, in India, clothing varies significantly across different age groups, regions and cultural traditions.

For example young people in India often wear a mix of traditional Indian clothing and Western-style clothing. In urban areas, it's common to see young people wearing modern dree like t-shirts. 

However, older people tend to wear more traditional clothing such as men dhoti and women saree.

In thre recent time there has been a rise in clothing designed for seniors and the disabled.



2. When do people wear formal clothes in your country?

3. Why don't some people wear formal clothes?

4. What is your opinion of wearing designer clothes?

5. Do the prices of designer clothes seem justified to you?

6. Is it unethical to copy  brands, in your opinion?

NOTE: 

In PART 3 Discussion, go on speaking until the interviewer stops you and don't just answer and stop. Display your best English, instead. 

In Part 3, it is quite possible that you have to speak about something you have never heard of. If you don't know the subjecttell the examiner soon, so he could ask you another question. Mind you, if you don't tell him and start trying to speak, he might think that it is not a knowledge problem, but a language problem.
