1. Why Climate is important
* Climate is a widely discussed topic because it is the most significant factor deciding the fate of humanity of an area.
* Any discussion on climate is more on the climatic changes and the resultant impact on the area rather than the conservative considerations of climate.
* It affects the way of life and the economy.
2. How does climate affect the way of life of the people
* Climate is a major factor that influences the way of life of the people of a region.
* It affects the availability of the natural resources, such as water, food and energy as well as the health and culture of the people.
* In regions with hot and dry climate, such as the deserts, people have to adapt to scarce water resources and high temperature. They use irrigation, water conservation methods and solar energy to survive and thrive. They may wear light and loose clothing, eat less fat practise religions that emphasis fasting and prayers. They are physically and mentally sturdier.
* In the regions with wet and humid climates, such as the rainforests, people have to deal with abundant rainfall and humidity. They use rainwater harvesting, drainage systems and hydroelectric power to manage and utilize resource. They may wear breathable and waterproof clothes eat more fruits and vegetables and practise cultures that celebrate nature and diversity.
* Agriculture and food security: Climatic conditions determines the types of crops that can be grown, affecting food availability and local economies.
