Structure.

Paragraph 1. Introduction

*Paraphrase of general statement

* Thesis Sentence:  [ In this essay I will dwell on both the merits of   ............ (topic) including ..........and ........... and the the demerits    such as ............  . In my opinion, even though there are a few minor disadvantages, the advantages are more; therefore, the advantages outweighs the disadvantages]. 

Paragraph 2. Body Para 1

To embark on, ............... (state the two advantages).  * Explain each advantages.  *Give example for any of the advantages.                      * Conclusion of BP1. (Thus, ................................(topic) has manifold positives. 

Paragraph 3. Body paragraph 2

On the flipside, ............. (topic) is not without any blemishes because .......... (present the two disadvantages).  * Explain both didadvantages . *Give an example for any one.                                    *Conclusion of BP 2.  (Hence, .............. (topic) has a plethora of demerits).

Paragraph 4. Conclusion. ( To conclude, this essay has established both the pros and cons of ................  (topic)  and  validated my opinion that despite a few minor demerits, the merits are more and so the advantages outweigh the disadvantages.)

    This structure of advantages /disadvantages is definitely helpful to those writing IELTS.writing task 2 essay I found to be a Herculean task.so such guidence immensely help people like us
