IELTS Writing Task 2- Agree/Disagree.- Wild life conservation

Agree/Disagree

Q:  Some people say that all wild animals need not be protected, but only those that face extinction . How far do you agree or Disagree?

It is often argued that the protection of the entire wildlife is not our onus; however, we must ensure the continued existence of the endangered species. [Paraphrase]. This essay will dwell my opinion that I disagree with the statement because they are an integral part of the earth's eco-system  and as the most evolved among the creatures it is our responsibility to assure their continued existence. [Thesis sentence]

To embark on, one of the reasons that threatens the very existence of the wild flora and fauna is the human encroachment  into the wildlife habitats. [Argument-1]. Firstly, forests are cleared for agricultural farming, depriving the animals of their natural niche. Besides, the unbridled felling of tress and leveling the hills and mountains for infrastructural developments deprive the animals  of their staple food and water. [Reasons] For instance, the geographical patches, which used to be dense forests, are now nothing but concrete slums, depriving the animals their birthright. [Example]Since we are are responsible for the rapid decline of the wild life, we must do remedial measures to confirm their continued existence. [Conclusion of BP1]

Furthermore, wild animals form a significant link  that completes the chain of life on the earth. [Argument]. If that link is fragile or missing, it might weaken the entire life system. Moreover, human beings, plants and animals are interdependent and the loss of any one is detrimental to all. [Reasons). For example, if the number of predators fall,  the biological equilibrium is lost . [Example] Therefore, it is the moral responsibility of human beings, as the most evolved of all creatures, to check the depletion of not only the endangered  but also the entire wildlife. [Conclusion of BP2]

To conclude, the argument that only a few wild animal species,  which face extinction deserves to be protected is totally unacceptable. On the other hand, considering the bleak situation of alarming rate at which the wild animals disappear,  it is the duty of human beings to take imminent measures to keep the all  forms of life on the earth for the benefit of one another.
