Part 3. Discussion - Sample Answer

1. Why are companies investing in health and fitness of their employees?

Ans: Well, I think, it's because the well-being of the employees creates a work environment that supports mental health and they feel valued and engaged. The new gen employees, in particular, are sensitive to health issues and adopting such measures foster a sense of belonging. Thus, the company can keep the workforce engaged and productive.

Furthermore, providing gym facilities or wellness programs give a sense of community and satisfaction among employees.

For instance, a study conducted in the 'Technopark' in Trivandrum found that companies with gym facilities experienced increased employee morale, job satisfaction and productivity.

2. Is physical exercise the only way to relax?

Ans: well, indeed, physical exercise is a valuable method for relaxation; however, I believe, it's not the sole approach.

For example, practsing meditation or deep breathing can help calm the mind and reduce stress.

Listening to music or reading a good book allow your mind to shift away from everyday stress.

3. Can using the internet help you relax?

Ans: Well, indeed, the internet is a good source of relaxation. It's a virtual escape, I think. We can explore high resolution images and videos which will take away our stress.

The net gives guided meditation apps which help you reduce tension.

There are several funny videos that make you laugh a lot.

4. What do you think is more important, public health or economy of the country? Why?

Ans: I think both are important and they are inter-dependent.

Public health, on the one hand is fundamental to the well-being of a nation's citizens. It includes disease prevention health access, sanitation and overall quality of life.

Economy, on the other hand, is also significant because a healthy economy supports jobs, innovations infrastructure and social programs.

So, I think both a stable economy and health are essential for the progress of a nation.

5. Do you think governments should prioritise in public health over economies?

Ans: Well, I wonder if I know the right answer. However, I think, what we need is balance between public health and economies., because they are interconnected. Therefore, the governments should strike a balance between them.

For example they must invest in healthcare infrastructure and research and at the same time, promote sustainable economic growth.

6. What are the benefits of investing in public health?

Ans: Investing in public health is beneficial for saving lives and creating a healthier, and more productive society.

Increased public health spending is linked to decline in mortality rate and diseases.

In turn, it helps increase in productivity and progress.

Moreover, public health intervention creates social, economic and environmental values.

NOTE:

In PART 3 Discussion, go on speaking until the interviewer stops you and don't just answer and stop. Display your best English, instead.

In Part 3, it is quite possible that you have to speak about something you have never heard of. If you don't know the subjecttell the examiner soon, so he could ask you another question. Mind you, if you don't tell him and start trying to speak, he might think that it is not a knowledge problem, but a language problem.
