Question: 

Some people say that children should not be permitted to use the internet. How far do you agree or disagree?


 The internet is ubiquitous these days; however, it is often argued that children ought not be allowed to use it. [Paraphrase] This essay will dwell on the topic and establish my opinion that I partially agree with the statement because, the net is a mixture of both vices and virtues.[Thesis sentence]


To embark on, the internet is a blessing for the young ones especially, the students. [Argument 1] It is an unending source of information, which students can pursue on a daily basis. Moreover, during the covid pandemic scenario, it was the internet that furnished total support to the student community. [Reason]. For instance, a recent study conducted by the UNICEF reveals that the education system of the country would have collapsed if the internet had not been utilized to salvage it. [Example].Thus, the net is an inevitable support to the children.[Conclusion BP1]


On the flip side, the net is not without any harms. No wonder, the irresistible attraction of it induces the children to become addicted to it. [Argument 2] Besides, it is infested with contents hazardous to young minds.[Reason] A premier example is the research paper published by the Ministry of Education in India which reveals that more than 80 percent of the children are addicted to social media platforms.[Example] Therefore, exposure to the internet can be a potential danger to the young ones. [Conclusion BP2]


To conclude, common people are divided in their stance about allowing children to use the net.[Re-write paraphrase] This essay has validated my opinion that I partially agree with the argument that children should not be permitted to use the internet, because in my opinion, it is tool that is both a boon and a bane.
