Additional questions on COLOUR.
1. IELTS Examiner: What's your favourite colour?
Candidate: Well, I would say, my purpose varies for different purposes. For instance, when choosing clothes, I tend to go for (....blue) because this colour goes well with my skin tone. For house decorations, I would prefer white as it creates a peacefulvibe for the room.
2. IELTS Examiner: Are there any colours you dislike?
Candidate: Well, I guess, I'm not a big fan of brown. All shades of brown look dull to me. In fashion, it's really hard to put on a brown item, unless you are extremely gorgeous.
3. IELTS Examiner: Are colours important to you?
Candidate: Well, to me personally, colours are quite important. Not only can colours make our life vivid, they can also indicate feelings. For instance, I often wear (....yellow) clothing when my mood is up, but I go for black if I'm feeling down.
4. IELTS Examiner: Were colours important to you when you were a child?
Candidate: Well, without any doubt, they were more important to me than they are now. When I was small, I used to judge objects by their colour, for example pink stuffs for girls, while blue things were for boys. As I grew up, I realized that things are more complicated, and that colours don't matter that much.
5. IELTS Examiner: Are there any colours that have special meaning in your country?
Candidate: Well, I believe, in my country, almost all colours are associated with something. Take red for example, it symbolizes happy events such as victories and weddings. In contrast, black is seen as a romantic colour.
6. IELTS Examiner: What colour would you choose to paint the walls of your room?
